Aquacel Hydrofiber Ribbon Dressing by Convatec is an advanced wound care solution designed to enhance healing for moderately to highly exuding wounds. Crafted from 100% sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), this sterile, non-woven dressing employs innovative Hydrofiber Technology. Upon contact with wound exudate, it transforms into a cohesive gel, creating an optimal moist environment that supports healing and reduces infection risk.

Indications for Use

Application Guidelines

• Placement: For deep wounds, leave at least 2.5 cm of ribbon outside the wound for easy retrieval. Pack only up to 80% of the wound volume to accommodate expansion.
• Coverage: Overlap the wound edge by 1 cm and cover with a suitable secondary dressing.
• Duration: The dressing can remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on clinical needs. If it dries out, moisten with sterile saline or water before removal.
