Maintenance and Sterilization

Crafted from Low Dispersion™ optical glass with double aspheric elements, the lens is compatible with various sterilization methods, including steam, Sterrad, V-Pro, and Sterizone VP4. Proper cleaning involves using a mild, pH-neutral detergent and a soft, lint-free cotton cloth. High-level disinfection can be achieved with sodium hypochlorite, Cidex OPA, or glutaraldehyde, following specified procedures.

Storage Recommendations

After cleaning and drying, the lens should be stored in a clean, dry environment at room temperature. Using a Volk Sterilization Case or Tray is recommended to prevent product loss or damage.

Handling Notes

Optimal viewing requires accurate alignment with the pupil and maintaining the proper working distance. While less maneuverable than smaller lenses for the far anterior periphery, especially in patients with a larger nasal bridge, the lens’s performance remains unaffected by ring discoloration due to disinfectants or repeated sterilization.
