The HOYA Vivinex iSert XC1 is an advanced intraocular lens (IOL) specifically designed for cataract surgery. Crafted from glistening-free hydrophobic acrylic, this lens offers exceptional clarity and long-term transparency. The model features a UV filter and is MRI safe at both 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla, ensuring compatibility with various medical imaging needs.

Optic Design

The lens incorporates a proprietary aspheric optic design known as ABC Design. This design aims to partially compensate for corneal spherical aberration and enhance tolerance to coma, providing superior visual outcomes. The square, thin, and textured optic edge is engineered to reduce posterior capsule opacification (PCO) and dysphotopsia, while maintaining high image quality even if not perfectly centered.

Surface and Haptic Design

The Vivinex iSert XC1 features a smooth, high-quality surface achieved through active oxygen processing. This treatment reduces PCO and ensures long-term lens clarity. Preloaded Injector System

The lens comes with a preloaded Vivinex™ iSert® system, ergonomically designed for controlled and consistent delivery. The injector system includes a front tip with an outer diameter of 1.70 mm, suitable for a recommended incision size of 2.0–2.2 mm. This design facilitates easy, controlled implantation, minimizing the risk of lens dislocation.
