The HOYA Vivinex iSert XY1 is a preloaded intraocular lens (IOL) designed for cataract surgery, crafted by HOYA Corporation. This lens is made from glistening-free hydrophobic acrylic material, featuring integrated UV and blue light filters, ensuring clarity and protection for post-surgical vision.

Optic Design

The lens boasts a proprietary aspheric optic with a biconvex profile, engineered to reduce spherical aberration and minimize coma, particularly in cases of IOL decentration. Its square, thin, and textured optic edge, along with a smooth surface, enhances visual outcomes by maintaining a regular optic surface.

Haptic Design

The haptic design includes a textured-rough surface made from the same acrylic material, providing improved grip and reduced adhesion. This design contributes to the lens's high rotational stability, with clinical studies showing a median rotation of just 1.1°.

Surface Treatment

Active oxygen processing on the posterior surface significantly lowers the incidence of posterior capsule opacification (PCO). The lens's square optic edge further reduces PCO, leading to lower Nd:YAG capsulotomy rates compared to other models like AcrySof IQ SN60WF.

Preloaded Injector System

The Vivinex iSert® injector system simplifies the implantation process with a uni-directional slider and screw injector. The system's front injector tip has an outer diameter of 1.70 mm, suitable for a recommended incision size of 2.20 mm, facilitating a smooth surgical procedure.
