The ASGUARD EXCEED IV DRESSING by Sentry Medical is a specialized solution designed to enhance the securement and protection of intravenous (IV) access devices. This includes peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVC), central venous catheters (CVC), peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC), and Ports. Its construction features a high moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) film, allowing excess moisture to evaporate and maintaining optimal conditions at the insertion site.

Indications for Use

This dressing is ideal for protecting and securing IV insertion sites, particularly where high MVTR is crucial, such as with PICC lines. It is also suitable for use over wounds that require moisture vapour transmission control and waterproof protection.

Application Instructions

1. Prepare the insertion site according to standard protocols.
2. Position the dressing with the notch over the catheter and the clear window over the insertion site.
3. Smooth the dressing to ensure full adhesion.
4. Apply securement tape and an insertion date label as needed.

Removal Instructions

• Remove gently using the 'stretch and release' technique or an adhesive remover wipe to minimize skin damage.

Precautions

• Avoid use on individuals with known allergies to any of the dressing’s components.
