Ideal for use following fractures, surgeries, and various orthopedic corrections, it serves healthcare professionals in treating joint, bone, ligament, and tendon injuries. This specialized tape allows for the creation of semi-rigid casts, providing necessary support while enabling some degree of movement beneficial for rehabilitation.

Material Composition

Crafted from a knitted glass fiber fabric, Cellacast® Soft is impregnated with a polyurethane prepolymer resin. This composition offers several advantageous properties:

Application Instructions

1. Preparation: Use over appropriate undercast material and padding.
2. Activation: Dip in water (20–24°C) to activate the resin.
3. Application: Wrap without tension, overlapping turns by half.
4. Molding Time: 2.5–3 minutes.
5. Setting Time: 4–5 minutes.
6. Weight-Bearing: Fully weight-bearing after 20–30 minutes.

Removal

The cast can be removed using standard cast scissors or oscillating saws. Face masks are recommended if no extraction unit is available during removal.

• Sizes: Ranges from 2.5 cm x 1.8 m to 12.5 cm x 3.6 m.
• Colors: Available in cream, blue, red, black, and purple.

Packaging and Storage

Each roll is individually sealed in foil pouches to prevent premature hardening, with 10 rolls per box. Store in a dry place at temperatures not exceeding 24°C to maintain a shelf life of up to 2 years.

Disposal Guidelines

Disposal should align with local environmental regulations. Recommended methods include incineration or landfill, ensuring the resin is fully set before disposal with household waste.
