Cellacast Soft is an innovative semi-rigid casting tape designed to provide effective immobilization for a variety of medical needs, including fractures, post-surgical recovery, and orthopedic corrections. Material Composition
- Knitted Fiberglass Mesh: Approximately 60%
- Polyurethane Resin: Approximately 40%, containing polymeric MDI and aromatic isocyanates
- Natural Rubber Latex
This composition ensures that the tape is lightweight, comfortable, and conforms excellently to body contours due to its diagonal and widthwise elasticity. The material is also air-permeable, break-proof, and X-ray transparent, enhancing patient comfort and clinical effectiveness.

Application Instructions
- Activation: Dip in water at 20–24°C (68–75°F)
- Application: Apply in circular turns without tension, overlapping each turn by half
- Moulding Time: 2.5–3 minutes
- Setting Time: 4–5 minutes, fully weight-bearing after 20–30 minutes
Trained personnel should use standard examination gloves during application, and face masks are recommended when removing the cast with oscillating saws without extraction units.
