The GEL MEDIHONEY SHEET is a specialized wound dressing designed to enhance the healing process for various types of wounds. This hydrogel sheet is infused with medical-grade Leptospermum (Manuka) honey, known for its exceptional antimicrobial properties. It is particularly effective for non-draining to lightly exuding wounds, such as diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers, pressure sores, and partial thickness burns.

Application

GEL MEDIHONEY SHEET can be easily cut or layered to fit the wound size and shape. It may remain in place for up to seven days, depending on the wound condition and exudate levels. The adhesive version does not require a secondary dressing, while the non-adhesive version does.

Handling and Storage

• Handling: Gloves are recommended during application. Transient stinging may occur due to the dressing's low pH.
• Storage: Store in a cool, dry place at temperatures between 10–25°C (50–77°F), away from direct sunlight and moisture.

Safety and Environmental Impact

The dressing is non-cytotoxic, non-irritant, and biodegradable, posing no significant health or environmental hazards under normal use. It is not made with natural rubber latex and is gamma sterilized to preserve the honey's properties.
