SUTURE TICRON, also recognized as Ti-cron™ or TiCron, is a high-performance surgical suture developed by Covidien. Crafted from braided polyester (polyethylene terephthalate), this nonabsorbable suture is designed to provide enduring support in various surgical applications, including cardiovascular, ophthalmic, and neurological procedures.

Needle and Pledget Options

SUTURE TICRON offers a variety of needle types, including conventional cutting, reverse cutting, spatula, taper point, diamond point, and penetrating taper. Needle arcs are available in 1/2 circle, 3/8 circle, 1/4 circle, 5/8 circle, and ski. The suture also features standard and D-Tach™ (detachable) needle attachments.

For enhanced reinforcement, some variants are supplied with PTFE pledgets in various shapes and sizes, serving as suture buttresses to reinforce tissue and suture lines.

Additional Considerations
