B. Braun Askina Foam is a non-adhesive hydrophilic polyurethane foam wound dressing designed for advanced wound care and exudate management. It is intended for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate and combines absorbency with protection to help maintain conditions that support effective healing.

The foam dressing works by wicking, absorbing, and retaining exudate, helping to create a moist wound-healing environment. Its non-adherent wound contact surface is designed to help reduce trauma to the wound bed during dressing changes, which can support patient comfort and minimise disruption to newly formed tissue. A protective polyurethane outer film provides a barrier to liquid water, bacteria, and external contaminants while remaining breathable and vapour-permeable.
