B. Braun Askina Scar Repair Dressing is a thin, flexible soft silicone dressing designed for scar management on fully closed wounds and existing scars. This 2 x 14 cm beige or skin-coloured format is shaped for discreet wear and sits comfortably against the skin without requiring extra fixation.

The dressing uses occlusive silicone technology to help maintain hydration at the scar site. By supporting a balanced skin environment, it assists the natural renewal and remodelling process and may help reduce excessive collagen build-up associated with hypertrophic and keloid scarring. It is intended for recently closed wounds as well as established hypertrophic or keloid scars.

Suitable Uses

Common applications include post-surgical scars, caesarean section scars, burn scars after re-epithelialization, and scars from injury or trauma. It should only be applied to fully closed, non-exuding and non-infected skin areas.
