Bolsaplast Heat Sealable Pouches are flat, transparent paper and film sterilisation pouches designed for packaging medical devices and equipment prior to sterilisation. As part of the BOLSAPACK sterilisation range, these non-sterile pouches combine medical-grade paper on one side with a PET/PP blend film on the other, providing clear visibility of contents while supporting effective sealing and presentation.

These pouches are intended for use with steam, ethylene oxide (EO), and formaldehyde sterilisation processes. The material combination is designed to support package integrity, with very low fibre shedding from the paper side and strong resistance to film tearing during handling. Printed chemical indicators are positioned under the seal and use water-based, non-toxic inks that change colour after processing, helping users identify whether the pouch has been exposed to the selected sterilisation method.

Construction and performance

The flat pouch format suits a wide range of instruments and medical items that require secure, sealed packaging before sterilisation. The transparent film side assists with content identification, while the medical-grade paper side supports sterility maintenance and process compatibility.

Relevant sources state compliance with EN 868 parts 2, 3, 4 and 5, ISO 11607-1, and AS 4187. The pouches are also described as non-cytotoxic in accordance with ISO 10993-5.
