Description

BURNSHIELD Contour Dress is a sterile hydrogel burn dressing designed to provide coverage for large-area burns. It combines a fibreless cotton dressing with Burnshield sterile hydrogel in a ready-to-use format supplied in a sterile foil pouch. The dressing is intended to assist with immediate burn care by covering the affected area while supporting comfort and heat dissipation.

The hydrogel formulation contains 96% water together with Melaleuca Alt. (tea tree) oil and a gelling agent. This composition helps the dressing remain moist and conform to the body, while the fibreless cotton construction supports smooth application over injured skin. The dressing is designed for gel retention, helping maintain consistent contact across broad burn surfaces.

These larger formats make the dressing suitable where extensive coverage is required, including emergency response and mining applications.

Application

To apply, open the sterile package, remove the dressing, unfold it fully, and place it over the wound area. The dressing is supplied sterile for direct use when prompt coverage is needed.
