Description

BURNSHIELD Hydrogel Spray is a sterile, water-based hydrogel designed for the initial emergency first aid of burns and scalds. Its high-water-content formula cools and soothes the affected area by absorbing and dissipating heat, which may help reduce burn trauma and limit further skin damage. The spray format is particularly useful for minor burns, superficial and partial-thickness burns, sunburn, and areas that are difficult to reach.

Formulated with 96% purified water, 1% tea tree oil, and 3% gelling agent, the hydrogel helps maintain a moist wound environment while providing a physical protective layer over the injured skin. It is non-stick, non-adherent, non-toxic, and non-irritant, and is considered safe for use on children. The gel is clear, or becomes clear after application, which can help with ongoing visual assessment of the wound.

Use Guidance

Apply liberally over and slightly beyond the affected area. Cover with a non-adherent, non-absorbent dressing and reapply as needed to help prevent dehydration of the wound or to rehydrate a Burnshield dressing. Medical attention should be sought after initial treatment.

Storage and Size Information

Store at normal room temperature; refrigeration is not required. The spray has a 5-year shelf life. Confirmed spray sizes include 50 ml and 125 ml.
