The COMPRO Surgical Gown – Reinforced by Multigate Medical Products Pty. Ltd. is a disposable, single‑use, long‑sleeve surgical gown in blue, designed to protect patients and operating room staff from microorganisms, body fluids, and particulates during invasive procedures. Critical zones meet AAMI PB70 Level 3 barrier requirements, with targeted reinforcement to enhance resistance to fluid strike‑through at high‑exposure areas. The fabric meets US CPSC 16 CFR Part 1610, Class 1 flammability.

Materials and construction

• Base fabric: DuPont SOFTESSE nonwoven, water‑repellent; 55% woodpulp / 45% Dacron polyester; 67.8 g/m².
• Reinforcement: 47 g/m² polyethylene (PE) breathable composite film on the inside front panel and inside sleeves for added barrier performance.
• Sleeve seams are glued (not stitched) to minimize needle holes and reduce strike‑through risk.
• Long‑sleeve design with full coverage in a surgical‑grade blue.

Intended use and protection

• Worn during surgical procedures to provide a protective barrier against microorganisms, fluids, and particulates.
• AAMI PB70 Level 3 performance in critical zones for procedures with moderate fluid exposure.
• Enhanced strike‑through resistance at the front torso and sleeve areas.
• Fabric flammability: US CPSC 16 CFR Part 1610, Class 1.

Sterility and reprocessing

• Available sterile (EtO sterilized) and non‑sterile.
• Not suitable for irradiation sterilization.
• Not suitable for steam sterilization (PE reinforcement has a low softening point; dye may streak with steam).
• Single‑use only; do not reuse.

Packaging and shelf life

• Sterile single pack: 1 gown + 2 nonwoven hand towels; wrapped in a 90 × 90 cm crepe‑paper sterile field; paper–plastic peelable pouch with tamper‑evident opening.
• Sterile twin pack: 2 gowns + 4 nonwoven hand towels; same sterile field and pouch.
• Non‑sterile: bulk packed in a polybag within shipper carton.
• Shelf life: 5 years from month of manufacture.
