Description

Multigate Medical Products’ Compro Surgical Gown is a disposable protective garment designed for operating theatre and clinical use. The range includes standard and reinforced options to address differing levels of fluid exposure while supporting ease of use and workplace hygiene.

Protection levels and variants

  • Standard: AAMI Level 2 barrier performance for general procedures with low-to-moderate fluid contact.
  • Reinforced: AAMI Level 3, incorporating targeted reinforcement at critical zones for added protection in higher fluid environments.

Materials and construction

  • Fabric: DuPont Softesse spunlace, approximately 67.8 g/m².
  • Composition: ~55% wood pulp and 45% polyester (Dacron).
  • Finish: Water/fluid-repellent surface to help manage splashes and low-pressure exposure.
  • Sleeves: Long sleeves with glued (not stitched) sleeve seams to reduce strikethrough at high-stress areas.
  • Reinforced areas (AAMI Level 3 option): ~47 g/m² breathable PE composite film applied at critical zones (inside sleeves and inside front) to enhance barrier performance while maintaining breathability.
  • Colour: Blue.

Sterility and format options

  • Sterile pack (single-use): One gown plus two low-linting, non-woven towels; typically supplied 20 packs per carton.
  • Non-sterile (single-use): Gown-only option; typically supplied 36 gowns per carton.

Sizes

  • Small, Medium, Large, X-Large.

Intended use

  • Disposable surgical apparel/PPE for theatre and clinical staff where fluid-resistant barrier protection is required.

Key considerations

  • Single-use design supports infection control protocols and reduces reprocessing requirements.
  • Material selection and glued sleeve seams are intended to minimize strike-through risk during procedures.
  • Availability of both AAMI Level 2 and Level 3 variants allows selection based on anticipated fluid exposure and procedural needs.
