Cosmopor Advance Adhesive Wound Dressing

Description

Cosmopor Advance by HARTMANN is a sterile, self-adhesive island dressing designed for postoperative wound care and the sterile management of minor injuries. A soft non-woven backing conforms comfortably to body contours, while the central, highly absorbent multi-layer pad incorporates DryBarrier Technology to lock exudate and minimize rewetting, including under pressure. The fine-meshed polyethylene wound contact layer is non-adherent to help prevent sticking and support atraumatic dressing changes. A skin-friendly, hypoallergenic synthetic adhesive secures the dressing to surrounding skin, and each unit is supplied sterile and individually sealed.

How it works

• Non-adherent wound contact layer (fine-meshed polyethylene) allows exudate to pass without adhering to new tissue.
• A dedicated transfer layer channels fluid away from the wound surface into the absorbent storage layer.
• The high-capacity storage layer with DryBarrier Technology retains exudate, reducing strike-through and the risk of maceration by minimizing rewetting.
• The island design provides an additional cushioning/padding effect and isolates adhesive from the wound area.
