Key Features
-
Stacking Capability: The case is engineered for secure stacking, adhering to specific guidelines to maintain stability. It allows configurations such as placing a small case on top of a large one, stacking three small cases, or two large cases. The maximum stack height is 1350 mm, with a combined weight limit of 80 kg.
-
Secure Handling: Each case's gross weight is clearly displayed, and it remains on its platform during all handling and transport activities. This design minimizes manual lifting and enhances safety through compatibility with mechanical aids like lifters, ramps, and tailgate lifters.
-
Locking and Labeling: The case features secure locking mechanisms and clear labeling options, including the ability to enclose relevant documentation, streamlining hospital workflows.
Mechanical Integration
The DRSPLUS Transport Case is compatible with both fixed and mobile mechanical lifters, facilitating easy raising and lowering. Slip sheets are included to aid in sliding trays in and out, optimizing the handling process.
Intended Use
This case is specifically intended for transporting surgical instruments, not for prostheses or lightweight equipment, which are managed separately. It supports various hospital processes such as delivery, unpacking, cleaning, sterilization, repacking, and dispatch, ensuring comprehensive workflow integration.
Safety and Compliance
Emphasizing safe manual handling and accessibility, the DRSPLUS Transport Case aligns with health and safety standards, providing peace of mind to healthcare professionals.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Proper maintenance involves turning off and unplugging the device before cleaning. The front lens should be cleaned with photographic cleaning paper or a single-use microfiber cloth soaked in pure Isopropyl alcohol. Other parts, including silicone forehead rests, plastic covers, cables, aluminum parts, and screens, should be disinfected with Isopropyl alcohol (>70%) using a disposable towel. Direct application of disinfectant onto the device should be avoided, and surfaces must dry before reactivation.
Frequent disinfection may affect the device, particularly the front lens and printed names on plastic covers, so adherence to recommended practices is advised.
Common Use Cases
The DRSPLUS Transport Case is ideal for transporting surgical instrument sets between hospital departments or facilities, integrating seamlessly into hospital loan kit processes for safe and efficient handling. Its thoughtful design and robust features make it an invaluable asset in medical logistics.
