Description

Multigate EasyLoop Slow Release Tourniquet is a latex‑free, non‑sterile, disposable device for venous blood sampling and intravenous cannulation. It supports infection control by offering clearly differentiated Single Use and Single Patient Use options to help reduce cross‑contamination and transmission of pathogens. The ambidextrous design allows controlled, one‑handed slow release with strap detachment, while anti‑fling bars help prevent the fastener from flinging on release. With no moving parts and a soft, flexible, easy‑to‑clean band, it delivers consistent performance and user control across a range of clinical settings.

Key features

  • Controlled, one‑handed slow release with strap detachment
  • Anti‑fling bars to limit recoil during release
  • No moving parts for reliable, consistent operation
  • Ambidextrous use (left‑ or right‑handed)
  • Soft, flexible, easy‑to‑clean band
  • Latex‑free; non‑sterile

Variants and identification

  • Single Use: teal band with clear “Do not reuse” indication
  • Single Patient Use: dark blue band with “Single Patient Use” text

Application overview

Apply

  • Place the plastic fastener on the arm with fingers positioned between the fastener and skin.
  • Loop the strap around the arm.
  • Feed the strap through the lower anti‑fling slow‑release bar.
  • Tighten as required and hook to fasten.

Release and removal

  • Unhook the strap to initiate slow release.
  • Gently lift or pull the plastic fastener to speed release and remove.

Notes

  • Ensure the strap is not partially hooked over the anti‑fling bar.
  • Keeping fingers between the fastener and skin helps avoid pinching and overtightening.

Cautions

  • Do not apply pressures that impair arterial blood flow.
  • Release the tourniquet as soon as blood starts to flow into the first tube.
  • Excessive duration or pressure may contribute to haemolysis.

Handling and storage

  • Follow the intended use for each variant: Single Use (one‑time only); Single Patient Use (for one patient only).
  • Do not re‑sterilise.
  • Do not use if packaging or contents are damaged.
  • Store in cool, dry conditions.
