Description

Ecopack Home Compostable Cling Wrap is a food-storage wrap designed to provide the familiar function of conventional plastic wrap while offering a home-compostable end-of-life option. Made from PLA and PBAT, it is intended for everyday kitchen use and suits a wide range of food storage tasks, including wrapping sandwiches, covering leftovers, storing fresh produce, sealing bowls, and preparing freezer meals.

The film is designed with stretch-and-cling performance similar to standard cling wrap, with a thicker and stickier construction that helps create a more reliable seal around food and containers. It is suitable for food-safe use and can also be used in the freezer, making it practical for both short-term refrigeration and longer-term meal storage.

Pack Format

Each box contains 1 roll measuring 300 mm x 30 m. The roll is supplied in a sturdy kraft dispenser box and includes 1 adhesive-backed reusable slide cutter, which can be transferred and used across multiple boxes. This product is also available in a carton pack of 12 boxes.

Materials and Composting

This cling wrap is certified by DIN CERTCO for home and garden composting. After use, it can be placed in a home compost bin. Composting time is approximately 90 to 180 days, depending on composting conditions. According to the manufacturer, the material breaks down into carbon dioxide and water without leaving harmful residues.
