Ecopack Compostable Resealable Food Storage Bags

Description

Ecopack compostable resealable food bags are designed for everyday food storage, combining the convenience of a zip-lock closure with materials suited to commercial composting at end of life. Made from GMO-free corn starch, PLA, and PBAT, these bags are printed with non-toxic water-based inks and are suitable for direct food contact. They are also freezer-safe, making them useful for packed lunches, pantry organisation, and storing prepared food.

The bags can be reused by wiping them clean after use. To help maintain performance, keep them away from excessive moisture and sharp objects, and store them in a cool, dry place below 19°C. Where stated, they should be used within 12 months of manufacture.

Certification and end-of-life guidance

This range is certified by the Australasian Bioplastics Association to AS 4736 commercial composting under Certificate ABAP 10113. Under suitable composting conditions, breakdown typically takes about 90 to 180 days. The thicker zip closure may decompose more slowly, so cutting off or removing the zip before composting is recommended.

Snack Bags

Sized at 160 x 110 mm, with 20 bags per box and 12 boxes per carton. Suitable for snacks, nuts, dried fruit, and lunchbox portions.

Sandwich Bags

Sized at 180 x 190 mm, with 15 bags per box and 12 boxes per carton. Suitable for sandwiches, snacks, lunches, picnics, meal prep, and leftovers.

Storage Bags

Sized at 270 x 300 mm, with 15 bags per box and 30 boxes per carton. Suitable for leftovers, bakery items, pantry staples, lunches, and marinating meat. This variant is not recommended for microwave use, and reuse is not recommended after contact with raw meat.
