Description

Multigate’s sterile, single‑use monopolar electrosurgical pencil is designed for precise tissue dissection and hemostasis using high‑frequency current. Push‑button activation enables intuitive hand control, while the coated (non‑stick) blade electrode helps minimize eschar build‑up for smoother passes and consistent performance. The lightweight body features an easy‑grip surface for secure handling, including in wet conditions, and connects via an integrated 3 m lead. The pencil accepts removable/interchangeable electrode blades and can be stowed in an optional holster/quiver when not in use.

Instructions and Handling (Summary)

• Ensure the electrode contacts target tissue before activation; use the lowest effective generator setting.
• Connect the pencil cable to the generator’s corresponding jack and verify all connections.
• When not in use, place the pencil in a holster/quiver away from the patient and drapes.
• Use an abrasive cleaning pad to remove char during procedures.

Warnings and Safety

• Do not use if the packaging is opened/damaged or if insulation/cord shows damage.
• Active electrosurgical tips can ignite flammables—keep away from drapes/materials; never place the pencil on the patient or drapes; use a holster.
• Follow the generator manufacturer’s instructions and facility protocols.
