What it is

Ensure Plus Vanilla (Abbott Australia) is a 1.5 kcal/mL complete, balanced, fiber-free oral nutritional supplement for adults. It can be taken between meals or used as a sole source of nutrition. Low FODMAP based on ingredients.

Intended users

For adults with or at risk of malnutrition or weight loss; those recovering from surgery, injury, or illness; or those requiring fiber-free/low-FODMAP diets (based on ingredients).

Ingredients

Water; maltodextrin; hydrolyzed corn starch; sucrose; milk protein isolate; caseinates (calcium caseinate, sodium caseinate); canola oil; corn oil; mineral premix (including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, chromium, selenium, molybdenum salts); soy protein isolate; flavoring; emulsifier (322, soy lecithin); stabilizers (460, 466, 418). May contain sodium chloride. Chocolate includes cocoa powder and may contain potassium phosphate dibasic; Fruits of the Forest includes color (120). Ingredients may vary slightly by flavour.

Dietary suitability and allergens

Contains milk and soy. Gluten free (no detectable gluten at or above 5 ppm). Low lactose (≤ 2 g/100 g). Suitable for vegetarians. Halal for all flavours. Kosher suitable for Vanilla, Chocolate, and Banana; Fruits of the Forest is not Kosher.

Preparation and storage

Ready to use. Shake well and open immediately prior to use. Once opened, cover and refrigerate; discard unused product after 24 hours. Oral use only.
