Description

Abbott Ensure TwoCal HN is a nutritionally complete, high‑energy (2.0 kcal/mL), high‑protein liquid formula for adult oral or enteral use. It can be used as a supplement or as the sole source of nutrition. Designed for patients who require concentrated energy and protein in smaller volumes. Food for Special Medical Purposes; use only under medical supervision.

Intended use

• Adults with elevated energy/protein requirements
• Poor volume tolerance or fluid restriction
• Adults at risk of malnutrition or unintentional weight loss

Ingredients

• 200 mL bottle (typical): Water; hydrolysed corn starch; maltodextrin; vegetable oils (high‑oleic sunflower, soy, canola); milk protein concentrate; sodium and calcium caseinates; sucrose; oligofructose (FOS); mineral blend; emulsifier (soy lecithin/E322); flavouring; choline chloride; vitamin blend; taurine; L‑carnitine. May contain calcium carbonate.
• RTH 1 L (typical): Water; corn syrup solids; corn maltodextrin; oils (canola, corn); milk protein concentrate; sodium caseinate; calcium caseinate; sugar; short‑chain FOS; minerals; emulsifier (soy lecithin); flavours; vitamins; choline chloride; taurine; L‑carnitine.

Administration and handling

• Ready to use; shake well
• Oral: serve at room temperature or chilled
• Tube feeding: administer at room temperature with an appropriate set; adjust flow/volume per tolerance; provide additional water as needed
• RTH hang time: up to 48 hours after initial connection with clean technique and one new set; otherwise ≤24 hours
• Once opened (bottle): cover, refrigerate, use within 24 hours

Storage and safety

• Store unopened at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures
