Description
Multigate Fluro-Tec XRD Abdominal Composite Sponges are sterile, single-use surgical sponges designed for intra-operative use. Constructed from a cotton/viscose/polyester composite in white, each sponge incorporates a fluorescent, non-absorbent green-yellow identification thread and radiopaque element for dual-mode visibility. The design eliminates loose XRD threads while providing high absorbency and low linting performance to support efficient surgical workflow and clear operative fields.
Key Features
- Sterile, single-use abdominal composite sponges for intra-operative applications
- Dual detectability: visible on X-ray and enhanced visibility under UV light
- Up to 9.5× more visible to the naked eye; visibility further increased under UV
- Integrated fluorescent thread; no loose XRD threads
- Highly absorbent composite; each sponge absorbs approximately 9× its own weight
- Low linting construction to minimize fiber shedding
- Supports a reliable five-count process
