HydroTac Comfort by PAUL HARTMANN AG (HARTMANN) is a sterile, single‑use, hydro‑responsive polyurethane foam wound dressing with an integrated, skin‑friendly adhesive border. The self‑adhesive design requires no secondary fixation. It is intended for the management of wounds with low to moderate exudation during the granulation and epithelialization phases and is suitable for use under compression.

Construction and materials

• Absorbent polyurethane foam core.
• Wound‑contact layer: mesh structure impregnated with a hydrogel moisture reservoir; the gel is a hydrated polyurea/polyurethane hybrid polymer containing propylene glycol, designed to minimize adherence and enable atraumatic dressing changes.
• Outer layer: semi‑permeable polyurethane film that is gas‑permeable, waterproof, and bacteria‑resistant.
• Border adhesive: skin‑friendly polyacrylate adhesive.
• Sterile; single‑use.

Functional properties

• Absorbs and retains exudate while the hydrogel contact layer can donate moisture to help maintain a balanced moist wound environment.
• Waterproof outer film allows showering while providing a breathable bacterial barrier.
• Self‑adhesive border offers secure fixation without secondary dressings.
• Designed to minimize adherence to the wound bed for atraumatic removal.
• Suitable for use under compression.
