Description

Jevity is an isotonic, fibre‑enriched enteral formula providing complete, balanced liquid nutrition at 1.06 kcal/mL for the dietary management of patients with, or at risk of, disease‑related malnutrition. It may be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement. Supplied in a ready‑to‑use, unflavoured 237 mL can.

Indications and use

• Food for Special Medical Purposes; use only under medical supervision
• Suitable as sole‑source or supplemental nutrition
• Not for parenteral (IV) use; not for use in galactosaemia

Preparation and administration

• Ready to use; shake well and open immediately before use
• Oral: may be given at room temperature or chilled
• Tube feeding: connect feeding set immediately prior to use; rate and volume per patient needs and tolerance; if administering at room temperature, use 10 Fr or larger tube; use a pump with smaller tubes; provide additional water as needed

Storage and handling

• Once opened, cover, refrigerate, and use within 24 hours; discard any unused feed after this time
