Overview

Nepro HP (High Protein) by Abbott Nutrition is a high‑energy (1.8 kcal/mL), high‑protein enteral formula with modified electrolyte levels and added prebiotic fibre (FOS). It is a Food for Special Medical Purposes to be used under medical supervision. Designed for adults with chronic renal failure on haemodialysis or CAPD, and for patients requiring high‑energy, low‑fluid, low‑electrolyte nutrition as clinically indicated (e.g., cirrhosis). Suitable as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement. The low‑viscosity, ready‑to‑use formula passes fine nasogastric tubes; bottles attach to Abbott giving sets and are compatible with Abbott enteral feeding pumps.
