Description

Nutrison Advanced Peptisorb is a liquid food for special medical purposes designed for enteral tube feeding when adequate normal nutrition cannot be maintained. It is a fully balanced, peptide-based formula developed for dietary management in people with malabsorption-related conditions, including chronic inflammatory bowel disease, short bowel syndrome, pancreatitis, or obstruction of the nutritional passage.

This normocaloric formula provides 1 kcal per ml and is made with low molecular weight peptides from whey protein hydrolysate to support tolerance where digestion or absorption may be compromised. It is fiber-free and gluten-free, with carbohydrate supplied from maltodextrin and modified starch, and fat from soybean oil and MCT oil.

Each 500 ml bottle provides:

• 500 kcal (2125 kJ)
• 20 g protein
• 88 g carbohydrates
• 8.5 g fat
• 0 g fiber
• 1.25 g salt
• 420 ml water

The formula has an osmolarity of 455 mOsmol/l.

Ingredients and allergens

Ingredients include demineralized water, maltodextrin, whey protein hydrolysate (from milk), modified starch, citric acid, vegetable oils, minerals, vitamins, taurine, and carotenoids.

Contains milk and soy.

Use and handling

Check the bottle appearance before use and shake well. Do not dilute the formula or add medication directly to it. Serve at room temperature. Once opened, bottles should be refrigerated and used within 24 hours.

Important safety information

This product must be used only under medical supervision and only for enteral nutrition. It should not be used where enteral feeding is contraindicated or in individuals intolerant to any ingredient. It is not suitable for infants or for patients with galactosemia, and caution is advised for children aged 1 to 6 years.
