Description

Sentry Medical Osmonate Calcium Alginate Dressing is a sterile, non-adhesive wound dressing made from naturally derived calcium alginate gelling fibres. Designed for the management of moderate to heavily exuding wounds, it forms a soft, cohesive gel when it comes into contact with wound exudate. This gel structure helps support effective exudate management, assists with haemostasis, and contributes to a moist wound environment that is appropriate for wound care.

The dressing is made to conform closely to the wound bed, which can help it adapt to both superficial and deeper wound profiles. It can also be removed by irrigation, supporting practical dressing changes when clinically appropriate.

Clinical use

Osmonate Calcium Alginate Dressing is indicated for a range of wound types, including pressure injuries, leg ulcers, diabetic ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, skin donor sites, post-surgical wounds, and other superficial or deep wounds with moderate to high levels of exudate.

The 30 cm rope variant is confirmed within the same product range and is intended for cavity, sinus, or undermined wounds, where a rope format may assist with dressing placement and wound contact.
