PermaFoam Classic Foam Dressing

Description

PermaFoam Classic by HARTMANN is a sterile, non‑medicated, single‑use hydrophilic polyurethane foam dressing designed for the management of medium to highly exuding wounds. Its three‑dimensional foam structure rapidly absorbs and retains exudate while supporting a moist wound environment conducive to healing. An elastic, water‑vapor‑permeable top film helps balance moisture and protects against external contamination. The dressing is soft, conformable, and comfortable for the patient, and is suitable for use under compression bandages.

Intended use / indications

• For medium to highly exuding wounds
• Appropriate for acute and chronic wounds, including venous (leg) ulcers, pressure ulcers (Stage II–IV), diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, abrasions, and incisions
• Sacral and tracheostomy variants are shaped for the sacral region and around cannulas/tubes (Y‑slit) respectively

Materials and construction

• Absorbing layer: soft, absorbent polyurethane foam
• Top layer (Classic and Border): elastic, water‑vapor‑permeable polyurethane film
• Border variant adhesive: polyacrylate adhesive; release paper: glassine
• Latex‑free; phthalate‑free

Sterility and packaging
