Description

PRIMED 160 by Primed Medical is a family of non-sterile Level 3 surgical and procedure face masks designed for clinical environments where exposure to blood or body-fluid splash is a significant concern. This range is intended to provide a fluid-resistant, high-filtration barrier for healthcare workers during procedures that involve elevated splash risk.

The PRIMED 160 family meets ASTM F2100 Level 3 performance requirements, including resistance to synthetic blood penetration at 160 mm Hg. It is also aligned with AS 4381:2015, flame-resistance requirements, and ISO 10993 biocompatibility testing for cytotoxicity and skin sensitivity. These compliance attributes support use in settings where both barrier protection and wearer tolerability are important.

Available Variants

The range includes several configurations to suit different clinical preferences and applications, including pleated low-irritancy styles, soft-bill styles, anti-fog options, tie-back surgical variants, and an anti-fog earloop procedure variant. For procedures involving smoke or plume exposure, selected versions are available with electrosurgery plume-protection features. Visor variants are also offered for combined mask-and-eye splash protection, with anti-fog and anti-glare properties.

Typical Clinical Uses

PRIMED 160 masks are commonly used in surgical procedures and other medical settings with high splash risk, such as trauma care, emergency departments, intensive care units, wound care, line changes, and dental procedures.

Packaging

Most non-visor variants are commonly supplied in boxes of 50 masks, while visor variants are commonly supplied in boxes of 25.
