Description

Multigate’s Pro-Zone +4G Sterilisation Wrap (61 gsm) is a single-use, non-sterile wrap designed for packaging instrument sets and medical devices in CSSDs. After sterilisation, it can be opened and used as a sterile field, supporting aseptic setup in the operating or procedure area. The 61 gsm variant balances barrier performance and drapability to suit a wide range of trays and device configurations.

Construction and barrier performance

• Two bonded polypropylene SSMMS sheets (2‑ply), each sheet comprising five layers (Spunbond–Spunbond–Meltblown–Meltblown–Spunbond).
• Integrated absorbent layer helps wick residual condensate, supporting wrap integrity and dry set presentation.
• Spunbond outer layers provide strength and resistance to tears, punctures and abrasion when handled correctly.
• Meltblown inner layers provide a microbial and liquid barrier while allowing effective sterilant penetration.
• Two‑tone design aids visual identification and orientation during wrapping.

Handling and workflow features

• Low linting to help protect devices and sterilisation equipment.
• Anti-static properties to assist handling and reduce cling.
• Soft, low-memory material with excellent drapability; folds cleanly and is gentle on hands.
• Recyclable where local facilities permit.

Sterilisation compatibility and use

• Compatible sterilants: Steam, Ethylene Oxide (ETO), low‑temperature gas plasma, and low‑temperature steam/formaldehyde.
• Suitable for wrapping trays or device sets and for establishing a sterile field after validated sterilisation.
• Use according to facility protocols and validated wrapping techniques; inspect wrap before and after processing.
