Prontosan Wound Gel

Description

B. Braun Prontosan Wound Gel is a topical wound-cleansing and moistening gel designed for use on acute and chronic skin wounds. Supplied in a 30 mL bottle, it is part of the Prontosan wound-care range and is intended to support wound bed preparation during dressing changes.

The gel is applied directly to the wound bed to help loosen and remove impurities, debris, slough, devitalised tissue, and bioburden. Its gel consistency also makes it suitable for areas that can be difficult to reach with standard cleansing solutions, including deep or tunnelling wounds, wound cavities, and other hard-to-access wound sites.

Composition

Prontosan Wound Gel contains:

• 0.1% polyhexanide (polihexanide/PHMB)
• 0.1% undecylenamidopropyl betaine
