Product Details
Description
This starter pack contains single-use soft silicone rectal inserts designed to help manage fecal incontinence, also described as accidental bowel leakage (ABL). It includes 2 inserts in different sizes, 1 Regular and 1 Large, together with a hygienic applicator so users can trial both sizes and determine the most suitable fit.
The insert works by creating a temporary internal seal to help reduce involuntary stool leakage. Its two-disc design positions the upper disc just inside the rectum while the lower disc remains just outside the anus. This arrangement is intended to support continence while remaining discreet in everyday use.
Key Features
- Starter format with 2 sizes for fit assessment
- Soft silicone construction for single use
- String-free, discreet design
- Intended to allow passage of gas
- Can be worn during the day or overnight until the next bowel movement
- Hygienic applicator included
Use and Handling
The insert is designed to be inserted and removed comfortably. It should be removed before a bowel movement and replaced afterward if continued protection is needed. Used inserts and applicators should be placed in household waste and should not be flushed.
Safety Information
Possible side effects include a false urge to have a bowel movement and mild anal irritation. Consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before use. Do not use if you are allergic to silicone, are currently using suppositories, if the package has been opened or damaged, or within 4 weeks of rectal surgery.
Stop using the product and seek medical advice if bleeding, hemorrhoids, rectal pain, irritation, spasms, fissure or tearing, bloody stool, or upward displacement occurs.
Clinical Support
Reported clinical data indicate a median 81.8% reduction in ABL episodes, with more than 91% of users achieving at least a 20% reduction. Most reported adverse events were described as mild.
