Smoke-Evacuating Electrosurgical Pencil

Description

A single-use, sterile electrosurgical hand-control pencil with at-source smoke evacuation to help maintain a clearer field and reduce plume exposure. Push-button controls enable cutting and coagulation. The monopolar design accepts standard blade, needle, or ball electrodes and requires a patient return electrode. Attached suction tubing captures smoke near the tip and connects to a compatible smoke evacuator or wall suction via appropriate adapters. Each unit is individually sterile packaged and includes a holster for safe placement between activations.

Intended use

Safety and handling

• Do not use if packaging is damaged or opened
• Verify all connections; follow generator instructions; use the lowest effective power
• Ensure active electrode contacts tissue before activation; keep hot parts away from flammables
• Place the pencil in the holster when not in use
• Remove electrode char with an appropriate abrasive pad as needed

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and observe the expiry date on the package.
