Multigate’s Fluro‑Tec XRD Gauze Swab (sterile) is a 10 cm × 10 cm, 8‑ply, premium‑weave swab for surgical and clinical use. Constructed from 100% cotton and latex‑free materials, it delivers high absorbency with low linting to help maintain a clean field and dependable counts. An integrated X‑ray detectable, fluorescent green‑yellow detection thread is non‑absorbent to preserve contrast within the swab.

When blood‑soaked, the detection thread is approximately 9.5× more visible to the naked eye and becomes even more detectable under UV light. Each 10 × 10 cm swab absorbs about 9.3× its own weight (average swab weight ~2.3 g). The sterile, single‑use design is marked with the ISO 15223 “Do not re‑use” symbol. Supplied as a pack of 5.
