Zetuvit Plus Silicone Border Dressing

Description

Zetuvit Plus Silicone Border is a sterile, single-use, self-adhesive superabsorbent wound dressing featuring a micro-adherent silicone contact layer and a transparent silicone adhesive border. It is designed for moderately to highly exuding acute and chronic wounds and can be used as a primary dressing, including under compression.

Construction and performance

• Absorbent core: cellulose fluff blended with superabsorbent polymer (SAP) for high uptake and secure retention of exudate, including under compression.
• Wound contact layer: soft silicone provides gentle, micro-adherent contact for atraumatic, low-pain removal and allows lifting and repositioning during application.
• Silicone border: transparent adhesive border protects periwound skin, keeps the area visible, and may be trimmed to aid fit. Do not cut the central absorbent pad.
• Backing film: showerproof and breathable; provides a barrier to bacteria and viruses when intact.
• Exudate management: helps prevent leakage and periwound maceration, supports a moist wound microclimate, sequesters and retains microbes, helps reduce malodour, and supports reduction of excessive MMP activity.
• Soft, conformable construction offers cushioning and comfort.

Indications and use

• For moderately to highly exuding wounds, including pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, postoperative/traumatic wounds, superficial burns; suitable for sloughy or granulating wounds.
• Designed for use under compression; maintains absorption and retention performance under compression.
• Primary dressing; additional fixation is typically not required.

Application guidance

• Cleanse the wound. Select a size so the central absorbent pad overlaps the wound by approximately 1–2 cm.
• Ensure surrounding skin is dry. Remove protective sheets and apply with the absorbent pad centered; press the border firmly and avoid wrinkles.
• Do not cut the green/central absorbent pad; the transparent border may be trimmed.
• Change if clinically indicated or when exudate approaches the pad edge. Wear time depends on wound condition and local protocol.

Compatibility and cautions

• Suitable with compression therapy; compatible with local antiseptics; may be used on infected wounds as part of an appropriate regimen.
• Single-use only; do not reuse.
• Do not use on necrotic tissue or actively bleeding wounds.
• Avoid combining with multiple other absorbent dressings due to high absorbency and retention.
