Description

Zorflex Wound Contact Layer is a branded advanced wound care dressing designed for direct contact with the wound bed in chronic and non-healing wounds. It is made from a knitted, microporous cloth of 100% pure activated carbon with interconnected fibres, creating a flexible and conformable contact layer that is easy to handle during dressing changes.

This wound contact layer is intended to maintain close contact with the wound surface while transferring exudate into a suitable secondary dressing. Its highly adsorbent structure supports exudate management and can also help reduce wound odour. The dressing uses a chemical-free physical antimicrobial action by adsorbing and trapping microorganisms within the activated carbon cloth rather than relying on added antimicrobial agents.
